I thought about the scythe, but there's too much potential for one of the kids to get impaled.

By sieve, you mean a filtering screen? We have that for pasta.

I guess you can always hire someone with a scythe to harvest your wheat or plant another crop that doesn't need a sharp tool to be harvest?

When Grumps realises how long it's going to take him to harvest 1000 square feet of wheat with an oversized pair of scissors he may reconsider. He's still young though, my back is aching just thinking about it.
