If they want to make peace with SK for the duration of the Olympics I fail to see how that is a bad thing.

If NK is brokering a peace deal that’s great news.
Last I heard they were shelling civilians on islands and threatening Guam. After over fifty years or hostile armistice I’m surprised no news agencies are reporting on the peace negotiations that NK has brought to the table.

The confederation, it's not unification, there's still a hard border for the population, only the North Korean elites get access, everybody else remains in the Juche Gulag, and the ROK assists Pyongyang to ensure this.

Again, this already happens in nascent form, the Special Economic Zone, it's basically a slave labour camp run by the North Koreans, making products for corporations in the South, that's the model.

The basic outlines and structures of the North Korean plan are already in place, in nascent form, that's why they are confident that their plan is going to work. It's not pie in the sky, they can see it right in front of them.

The only thing really standing in their way, is America, and that's where things can start to get dicey.
