She's a victim of her own sexism....she wanted to be replaced by the nominee of a female figure head of the left....her legacy will vaporize with time (regardless of whether the republic survives or not).....

I hadn't thought of it that way. The irony is almost Shakespearian.

Re: Trump's SCOTUS
RBG has no one to blame but herself and her own hubris. She's 85, it she wanted to be guaranteed to be replaced with another liberal justice she should have retired under Obama - she was already in her 80s and dealing with several medical issues. If Trump wins a 2nd term she'll have to hang on until 92 to ensure she's replaced by a liberal.
I'm sure, like most of the liberals, she was "certain" Hillary would win. Oh well, life doesn't always go as planned, not like her retirement isn't guaranteed, like she "needs the job to survive", in her shoes if I'd had the choice (and wanted to be replaced by a liberal judge) I would've taken the guaranteed liberal replacement by Obozo than risk Hillary being elected... But that's just me I guess. I'm not that much of a gambler, especially when I can achieve the same result as a sure thing.

It wasn't a gamble to them, it was a certainty. In their minds they were undefeated, laughing at their opponent who said they wouldn't even score 17. Then a guy no one bet on caught a pass on his helmet.

Trump filling Federal Court vacancies faster than any POTUS in the last 40 years
https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/20 ... to-put-co/In addition to Justices Kavanaugh and Neil M. Gorsuch, Mr. Trump has appointed 26 conservative jurists to lifetime service on the influential federal circuit courts of appeals, a pace far exceeding his predecessors.
By comparison, during the first two years of his presidency, Barack Obama appointed 15 judges to the courts of appeals. George W. Bush appointed 16 appellate judges in his first two years, Bill Clinton got 18, George H.W. Bush had 18 and Ronald Reagan appointed 19.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Sunday of Mr. Trump’s record number of appeals court judges confirmed, “there will be more before the end of the year.”
