Your "protection" still doesn't fix the inherent problem with the internet, which is that it's not secure, and never has been. Internet 2.0 is a better step in the protection scheme of things, but it is not, nor will it be there till people realize that the only way to be truly secure is not to be on it.
It was built for protecting the communications grid, as it was at the time, in the case that a
hub might be taken out in a nuclear attack.
Dude, I'm still not sure what you mean by Internet 2.0. A few weeks ago, you were saying Web 2.0, which is content-based shit like wikis and, to some extent, social media.
Please... stop talking... you don't know what you are talking about.
My grandfather was one of the people in charge of that "system" you are talking about. My grandfather was one of the descending voices on the project, saying it never would work, he was a Director over in MITRE at the time. They ignored his statements and spent what would be considered several hundred billions today...
They created a radio system that didn't work, it will fail if a nuke explodes in the air over the US and releases an EMP. We call it today the EBC, or Emergency Broadcast System.
Your confusion is expected... the "Web 2.0" is the new interface to "Internet 2.0"...

Ok cool, I'm out this thread.
Too bad cause your grampa's train-set sounded pretty neat.
Krypton will just have to explode.

He's fronting because he lacks an education. All these IT guys are like this. You just have to nod your head and pretend like they are just as good as engineers with real science and engineering degrees.. Hopefully they will get around to resetting the server and then go away.

Then you are daft as you are "educated"... there is a difference between the WWW and the Internet. If you can't figure out the difference, then you probably are either too educated, or truly don't understand the basics of internet & network security... which by the sounds of it, you don't.
