You also just said we might have already hit Peak oil and we might not even know it. You are high and can't remember all the bullshit you've spewed, even in this thread. In 2040 when we still haven't hit peak oil I'm sure you'll be saying that peak oil will be coming around the corner in 2080. No doubt you'll go to your grave thinking we will hit peak oil any decade now or even any day now.

No, champ, I said we could hit peak oil right now *IF* Asia were developed the same was as North America (which it obviously is not). The point being: peak oil is not a function of whether the oil runs out but, rather, a relationship between maximum supply and demand.

Okay well whatever. By the time that comes to pass something else will mitigate the arrival of peak oil. The sky is not falling, you under-estimate humans ability to innovate our way out of such situations by finding new sources of oil and gaining new technology that let's us access new sources of oil and also the ability to improve alternative fuel sources in the same manner all the while.

It's obvious enough you are not even reading posts, or you can't comprehend them due to whatever it is you are smoking.

Whatever peak oil fearmonger. Anyone reading your posts as long as I have over the years knows you are nuts when it comes to peak oil. Try and pretend it's a comprehension problem on my part. I care not for the baby games you want to play.

So you believe oil is an infinite resource? You already showed you have no idea what peak oil even means. You don't seem to think it will happen.

Get some rest. You are embarrassing yourself.

Obviously not.

Other energy sources will be developed that mitigate the need to use as much oil as we currently use and we'll probably never completely run out of it or even get real close to that by the time oil eventually becomes obsolete. So either peak oil will hit and not be a big issue when it does, or we won't even hit it because oil goes obsolete before we can. If peak oil does happen then it does not have to be a global catastrophe, yet you constantly keep predicting one anyway.

Which ones, capps?

This is magical thinking. Maybe we will discover another energy source that matches fossil fuels in energy efficiency. Maybe. The universe does not guarantee there will always be something better easily achievable.

Magic thinking is one of the ways civilizations have collapsed in the past. Better to take a rational approach whereby we try to discover the replacements, but we also plan to mitigate the fallout of that research not panning out.
