Tell me about your design. I do know a little about aerodynamics (just algebraically). For something you launch from a catapult, you might want to sweep the wings back or use a delta shape. The air foil you have, depending upon the camber, will create a lot of lift, but I am not sure lift was ever going to be the problem. You want to minimize drag after launch.

You really should think about putting RC flight controls on that thing if you haven't done it already. an RC glider might be fun.
