Re: Unite the Right
Oh we're a lot closer to there than I thought we'd ever get. To be clear I don't mind politicians lying to Nazis to get their support, and that's because as vile as find them if they're Americans then they get to stay Americans. At least until we elect an Asian American Woman as president, at which point their negative views about women combined with their oddly positive views about Asians will so confuse them they'll just wander aimless into the nearest body of water and drown.
Until then though I thought hey, pay em lip service grab them by the ballot box and then do things that wouldn't make WWII vets roll over in their graves.
Here's the other thing though, used to be if thought General Lee was a badass, and someone called you a Nazi, you would be somewhat justified punching that person in the face.
Now Nazis march to defend the statue and we're like, "oh well that makes sense."
So I guess my point is, I don't think General Lee would have wanted a statue of himself anyway, but if he had one and someone said "Yeah, its a rallying cry for the followers of a German Dictator," he'd just kick it down himself and say its not erasing history so much as an attempt to not confuse a bunch of roaring dumbasses.

Man, are they going to be angry when this guy walks.
Wasn't the Russia thing also collapsing too? Back last year or the start of this year was it?James Alex Fields was denied bail as he was arraigned for second-degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding and one count of hit and run.
Judge Robert Downer read his charges - one count of murder, one count of hit and run, three counts of malicious wounding.
Alex Fields spoke briefly to say he was employed by Securitas and Omni Ohio, could not afford a lawyer, and had no ties to Charlottesville. Judge Downer denied him bail, and revealed he could not be appointed a public defender because someone in the public defender's office was directly affected by the crime. His appointed lawyer, Charles Webster, named in court by the judge, had yet to be contacted to inform him of his latest client.

Oh, and full disclosure, as an American Loyalist, the Southrons, who live in the South, otherwise known as Dixie, have always been our natural allies against Yankee imperialism, so do I sympathize with Southrons when they are set upon by the Yankees? 'Course I do, that's how cousins roll. <chews lemon>

To be fair, you said they got what was coming to them and they should have known better. Or am I missing something?Smitty-48 wrote:To be fair, I don't spend much time feeling sorry for people, to include myself, and I ain't sorry for that neither. Right on the heels of the chaos caused by the ‘Unite The Right’ rally in Charlottesville, the Virginia Flaggers have seemingly announced a rally of their own to protect Confederate monuments on September 16, 2017.

Meanwhile, last night there were marches on Monument Avenue with protesters demanding the monuments be removed.

That's a lot of super gay imagery for a not very funny payoff. Really hope you plagiarize this shit from a gayer part of the internet you get rickrolled to rather than coming up with it yourself. I mean, that seems unlikely, but I would just feel kinda bad for you if you strung that homoeroticism together in your mind while also attempting to sell yourself as being straight. Also, I didn't have a step dad, but now I think you do.heydaralon wrote:Cid's asshole doubles as a popcorn machine because the friction of his step dad's cock pressing against his anal walls produces enough heat to pop the kernels of corn in his shit.Cid wrote:I'd written a long clever little shit post at nukedog for turning this forum into a liberal parody of Breitbart.
Then I saw Smitty's post that hey, this is America (southern), we should expect the barbarism of jihadis and not feel sorry for the victims, because they shoulda known better than to burn the Koran, or the confederate flag or whatever.
And I haven't been following the shit that gets posted in here, really haven't, so I tend to have an incomplete view of things and people that was largely formed from before 2012.
Just didn't think we'd get here.
Also I think your step dad likes popcorn.
Also I think your step dad could not in fact afford a popcorn machine.
