Yet, you cant give one breath of it here.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Fri Feb 22, 2019 11:15 pmThanks to the spectacle of the NFL, and the popularity of FF, the game is mostly watched by the drooling masses that like things going boom. There's a hell of a lot more to it than that, as you'll find in pretty much any book store.
The league gives you nothing it is all spectacle all the time. No fan service in that realm whatsoever. The NFL network is all rags to riches trope or football family trope or FF prep. All spectacle all the time. I could understand your narrative if the NFL in any way supported it but they dont. The only thing you might have is an old George Carlin standup routine that he stopped using decades ago, when he went to a more appropriate and timely bit about the spectacle. And even then the earlier bit was to present a caricature comparison to his true boyhood love of baseball.
In baseball, I dont have to choose I can have both. Because of the game's and league reverance for its history and lore, I can wax poetic about it, people can share thier stories about visiting graves or retrieving an urn to share a moment with loved ones and it is all part and parcel of the experience.
And because of it's reverance for it's history and rigorous record keeping getting buried in the Fantasy, hot stove spectacle is also part of the game.
I can have it all.
Only a worshiper of the MSM narrative could not see the foaming at mouth bias and outright admission of guilt that statement is. At least Nuke, is honest about it.other than a general annoyance at people playing perpetual victim, while claiming a 'blessed status' for centuries.
Better my nerves than your baby mama or your kids.Nice. Obviously I've hit a nerve.
