Screaming racist and sexist doesn't win an argument. Especially when we all know what you really mean is that they question the wisdom of feminism, open borders, and civic nationalism.

It pretty much boils down to personality and human nature.

Paying the bills for a place that rants at you and posts "Dan the Cuck" memes to wild approval takes a pretty unique personality...

If Dan had been a different personality type he might have done one of two things.

1) Stayed on the forum and won hearts and minds over to his viewpoint... or defeated his opposition through tactics and strategy...

OR

2) simply kept paying the bills despite the blatant disrespect being hurled at him daily.

He did neither of those two things and simply shut it down.

That's what I make of it anyways.

I am sure he considered (1), but in the end, simply didn't have that time commitment.
He put up with (2) for a long time.

At least on the Internet. Maybe he’s carved out a nice spot for himself in the MSM that will pay the bills. Or maybe he’s wrangled some public money for himself NPR style. Hopefully he got something from shutting it down - because it hasn’t done wonders for his internet popularity.
