Probably going to have 3 to 4 Patriot Hall of Fame receivers out of this Dynasty.
I mentioned it a while ago in this thread, but Brady needs, for lack of a better term, a binky. Not necessarily a receiver that's Randy Moss, but a good receiver that Brady has built a rapport with. With Amendola out with a concussion, Brady never really had that last night in the second half, which I think pushed Brady to start hucking it deep (which has never been his bread and butter) recklessly. It's one thing when you're younger, but 40? You won't get away with that nearly as much. Gronk's not that kind of guy, either. A guy like Edelman sets the tempo for allowing Brady to spread the football; that clearly wasn't there last night.
I ultimately think Cooks can be that guy this year. Brady did have one play on that 2nd & 17 where, instead of giving it to Cooks for 10 or so and making it a manageable 3rd Down, he needlessly went deep.
O-Line flat out quit by the end of that game. Very uncharacteristic for a Scarnecchia-coached O-Line. And throw this one on Josh McD a bit too, if the deep ball isn't working, why the fuck would you keep doing it? Also, you have solid pass catching RBs, fuckin' use em, Josh.
If Brady's performance is consistently poor over the next few games, then I'll start getting concerned. Right now, one bad game isn't going to do it for me.
