we ran into some alligators on patrol at Eglin AFB

we had artillery simulator pyrotechnics we could have popped off on them

but they weren't aggressive, they just swam away from us

not like Saltwat4er Crocs, more like giant frogs

exactly, Florida gators are not like their Australian cousins

the thing you have to watch out for in Florida is the venomous snakes

oh, and Black Widow spiders, it's crawling with those too

I've cooked crocodile.
It's a great meat, very lean and cooks like a sirloin.
I never tried it though but everyone said it was nice.
Same with kangaroo.
I'm less of a vegetarian these days, my professional curiosity can over ride it sometimes. Not very often but if it's something a little different I'll have a taste. The last example was venison heart. Surprisingly good. I fried it like a steak and it was very tender. Stuffed with a cranberry force meat and roasted would be spectacular on a pub menu.
