we ran into some alligators on patrol at Eglin AFB
we had artillery simulator pyrotechnics we could have popped off on them
but they weren't aggressive, they just swam away from us
not like Saltwat4er Crocs, more like giant frogs

Nothing is safe...
we ate gator tails in Florida, tasted like frog basically, but it went down okay with a few pitchers of beerMontegriffo wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 7:05 am I've cooked crocodile.
It's a great meat, very lean and cooks like a sirloin.
I never tried it though but everyone said it was nice.
Same with kangaroo.
I'm less of a vegetarian these days, my professional curiosity can over ride it sometimes. Not very often but if it's something a little different I'll have a taste. The last example was venison heart. Surprisingly good. I fried it like a steak and it was very tender. Stuffed with a cranberry force meat and roasted would be spectacular on a pub menu.
That's Australia for you. Even the bloody magpies are trying to kill you there.Smitty-48 wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 6:57 amexactly, Florida gators are not like their Australian cousinsMontegriffo wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 6:54 amIt's them Aussie ones you need to keep an eye on.Smitty-48 wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 6:00 am

the thing you have to watch out for in Florida is the venomous snakes
