Never listened to him speak before. Surprised.

Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
I thought these guys had the best political impressions of the election. Not because it was perfectly accurate, but because of how over the top and hilarious it was.Penner wrote:TheReal_ND wrote:Honestly I try and watch YouTube vids of these SNL guys sometimes to try and get a laugh but all it does is make my blood pressure rise. It's not even funny imo. I'm sure it's funny for other people but it's not the kind of humour I find funny. And that's leaving aside the obvious emotional investment I have in Trump after pulling for him as an underdog in a contentious election. Remove the hatred I have for these people and I'm left with unfunny jokes.
I think they are hilarious and spot on. I mean even if you don't believe in the fact that several US intelligence agency claim Russia hacked those emails and gave them to Wikileaks so Trump can win, it's still funny because it's so over the top but also spot on. In my opinion, they got Trump's mannerisms down but Baldwin needs to work on his voice, IMO.

Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
I've said dozens of times I'm willing to see what happens, but here anything else than praising Trump or ridiculing his opponents is "concern trolling", just even to say that other players are adapting to a US administration with warmer ties to Russia is "concern trolling".Smitty-48 wrote:Anytime you want to stop concern trolling and just sit back and find out what happens, is fine by me, ssu
And furthermore: If economic growth or the lack of it will define if people are OK with Trump (as you say), would they be so too with Hillary? I think people here would hate her guts, wouldn't give her any credit, if some economic miracle growth spurt happened. The divisiveness of the American electorate runs deep and has no sign of healing.
Pence seems like an OK guy. And a lot in the Trump administration seem to be good. The only thing I don't like is the Goldman Sachs cabal.Smitty-48 wrote:Even if Trump his brought down by his "scandals" somehow, we get President Pence, win-win, Trump has even provided for his own undoing suitably enough for me, thanks again, Donald Trump.
Trump's new proposal to end sanctions against Russia:
So uh, because Russia invaded Crimea, the US is willing to lift the sanctions for reducing it's own nuclear arsenal. I think that is something Putin could work on. And if that's the US purposal, perhaps then the Russians could make an counteroffer and have a pushback on the ABM system or withdraw those US troops from NATO countries?U.S. President-elect Donald Trump will propose offering to end sanctions imposed on Russia for its annexation of Crimea in return for a nuclear arms reduction deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he told The Times of London.
But of course, this was only a Trump comment to the media, so let's see what they actually do... when in office.

As I've said, it's going to be a difficult relationship between President Trump and the American Intelligence Community.
Somehow I have this feeling that Mike Pompeo will have a difficult job...Israeli intelligence officers were recently warned by U.S. spies not to share intelligence with the Trump administration until they could be sure the former reality TV star hadn’t been compromised by Russia, reported the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.
“The Israelis who attended the meeting said that the Americans advised them not to expose any sensitive sources to members of the Trump administration, lest that information reach Iranian hands, until it becomes clear that Trump does not have a compromised relationship with Russia and is not vulnerable to extortion,” the report claimed.

End pointless sanctions over Crimea, reduce nuclear weapons from the currently pointless level of 15,000 warheads, and remove ABM systems from Europe? What an excellent proposal, hear, hear.

The Israelis can't be trusted in any case, they only tell you what they want you to know, in their own interests rather than yours, and its just as often misinformation as not, better actually for American intelligence agencies to run espionage against the Isrealis and gain intelligence that way, Trump's proposal to refocus the CIA on HUMINT would be the best way to do so.ssu wrote:As I've said, it's going to be a difficult relationship between President Trump and the American Intelligence Community.

America should steer clear of Shin Bet and Mossad, they're extremely manipulative, always trying to wag the dog.
If I was President Trump, would I trust anything the CIA was telling me at this point, particularly if it was being passed on from Shin Bet and Mossad? I think not.
Tell you what President Smitty Nixon would do, I would set up my own secret intelligence cell, and have Gen. Flynn run it right out of the PEOC at the White House.

But Trump is the B I G G E S T friend of Israel there is! How dare you say that friends shouldn't be trusted. Trump will work adamantly with Israel.Smitty-48 wrote: The Israelis can't be trusted in any case, they only tell you what they want you to know, in their own interests rather than yours, and its just as often misinformation as not, better actually for American intelligence agencies to run espionage against the Isrealis and gain intelligence that way, Trump's proposal to refocus the CIA on HUMINT would be the best way to do so.

As Trump there says, The Staet of Israel is the most reliably ally. That the bond between Israel and the US is absolutely unbrakeable. Trump loves Israel.
A new President's own intelligence service???Smitty-48 wrote:If I was President Trump, would I trust anything the CIA was telling me at this point, particularly if it was being passed on from Shin Bet and Mossad? I think not.

Yeah, everybody will just loove that. Especially Putin.
A true victory for Russia if the vast American Intelligence Community is totally sidelined, not at all trusted or used by the US President, who then would start up his own little endeavour of an intelligence service from scratch.
As I said, poor Mike Pompeo.

Trusting the CIA is unamerican tbh. I don't know why democrats are suddenly telling us we have to trust them all the sudden.

Yeah, it's weird given how the left are such "honest debaters". I mean, it can't possibly be that they suddenly don't hate the CIA when it is convenient for them.
