The fact is, you have drawn your own conclusions from some popular science books that confirm some grand, moral/historical arc that you are attracted to, and you present your own conclusions as settled science.

My point is that we have mapped the genome. If your claims about race a true, point me to the genes.

Murray and Wade are far from the killshots Speaker claims, since both rely heavily on correlation since Murray is a political scientist and Wade is a popular science writer.

Crime stats have other plausible explanations, as does white flight. Discussions of western civilization are all post hoc.

If economics can't explain it, then, again, why do Russia and China thrive and innovate now, but didn't for years. They all got pretty much the same genes now as they did under Communism.

Now, what evidence would convince you that civilization won't collapse under the weight of brown hoards? If you can't think of anything, that should tell you a lot about how reasonable the fear is.

As if they could do anything about it, we could mobilize the entire armed forces and they wouldn't be able to secure controlled access for even 10% of the border, if Americans are going to start flooding into Canada, not much we could do, unless we were willing to start flying the border with helicopters mowing them down with miniguns.

Mostly I think they're just going to find out that it ain't actually the land of milk and honey here for migrants, realizing that they were better off in the USA, at which point they'll want to go back. The "social safety net" ain't all it's cracked up to be, you can't access much of it illegally, the economy is more dynamic in the USA, things are much cheaper in the USA, and in the USA you can have relatives and whatnot to sponsor you, whereas we don't have that here.

Basically what they're going to find out, is that Canada; is byzantine, expensive, and cold. If you're reasonably well to do, it can be a good go, but if you ain't reasonably well to do, it's a frozen wasteland. This is a company town in the wilderness, and if you don't work for the company, you're out in the snowy drifts on your own.

You wanna try to cling to the fringe with no ticket from the company? OK, but it's going to be -30C out there, so actually doesn't take long for people in that predicament to say "fuck this, I'm going back to the sunbelt". All this talk about Canada being "tolerant and welcoming", that's just propaganda, the reality is quite a bit more ruthless and cruel.

We may not be xenophobic, but we are miserly to the extreme, the company is a niggardly pennypincher whose gonna make you jump through a dozen hoops just to get a dime. And that's only seven cents in American, and since everything is almost twice as expensive here, really nets out at about four cents in the end. You ran to Canada just to find out that gets you four cents on the dime, after all that freezing your ass off out on the cold standing on line.

Chaos Breaks Out at Charlottesville City Council Meeting

The meeting started out without incident, but as soon as the rally was mentioned, several residents began shouting down city officials for allowing the Aug. 12 “Unite the Right” rally to take place. The chamber erupted, and when police officers forcibly removed three people, the 100 or so at the meeting broke out into furious chants of “Shame” and “Shut it down!” The three people were issued summonses charging them with disorderly conduct. No injuries were reported.

“I’m outraged!” said Tracy Saxon, 41. “I watched my people get beat and murdered. They let Nazis in here have freedom of speech, and they protect them? And we can’t have freedom of speech?” (oh the irony) . . .

. . . It took about a half-hour for order to be restored, and the meeting stretched for several hours, as speaker after speaker spoke about their anguish over what the community had experienced.
