Fake news, according to US Navy CV locations online, the Ronald Reagan is in the East China Sea, but the John Stennis is in Bremerton, and the Carl Vinson is in San Diego.GrumpyCatFace wrote:THIRD carrier group deployed to North Korea.

3 CSG's in PACOM, but only one of them is anywhere near the Korean Peninsula right now, the other two are in port back in the CONUS.
The Theodore Roosevelt is passing through the 7th Fleet AOO, but it's en route to the Persian Gulf to relieve the Nimitz, the Nimitz is heading in the opposite direction, back to San Diego, both of those CSG's being tasked to the 5th fleet, not the 7th.
The Lincoln, the Truman and the Bush, are all off of North Carolina for Exercise Bold Alligator 2017, the Ford is in Norfolk, the Washington and the Eisenhower are in dry dock.
No sign the CSG's are gearing up for war, whatsoever.

Hey, looks like fat kid made the grade. Not only that, he pulled off a mobile, night-time launch without us expecting it. Cancer has now reached Stage IV.

"It Can Reach Washington, DC": Latest North Korean ICBM Can Hit Anywhere In The Continental US
There was something different about today's ballistic missile test: according to a preliminary analysis from the Pentagon, the rocket was an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, which was reported to have flown for 50 minutes, on a very high trajectory reaching 4,500 km above the earth (more than ten times higher than the orbit of Nasa’s International Space Station) before coming down nearly 1,000 km from the launch site off the west coast of Japan.

DPRK will not do preemptive strike - they're won't be a DPRK if they do) - they only care about staying in power...unfortunately, the Nuke defense seems to have assured that...sucks for the North Koreans....they're pretty much condemned to hell for the foreseeable future.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Hey, looks like fat kid made the grade. Trump would like to see an oil embargo on North Korea.
In the UN Nikki Haley has asked China to stop the oil, China has agreed to lower it's exports.White House national security adviser HR McMaster said Saturday that North Korea represents "the greatest immediate threat to the United States" and that the potential for war with the communist nation is growing each day.
"I think it's increasing every day, which means that we are in a race, really, we are in a race to be able to solve this problem," McMaster told an audience at the Reagan National Defense Forum in Simi Valley, California when asked if North Korea's launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile Tuesday had increased the chance of war.
President Donald Trump remains committed to the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, McMaster said, adding that there are nonmilitary ways to deal with the issue, such as calling on China to impose greater economic sanctions against Pyongyang. McMaster noted that Beijing's "tremendous coercive economic power" over North Korea. China should take unilateral action to cut off North Korean oil imports, McMaster said, adding, "you can't shoot a missile without fuel." He said that both he and Trump felt that a 100% oil embargo would "be appropriate at this point."

Hand waving, there's no embargoing the DPRK into submission, just punting the ball again, like the last five Administrations did.
America's just gonna keep on punting until they finally nuke the CONUS, apparently.
Hwasong-15, now that is an impressive piece of kit, the real deal mobile intercontinental, 4500 nautical miles straight up, means the range is at about 10,000 nautical miles, if the NK's have a working PBV to go with that beast, they're even further along than I thought they were, that nose cone is big enough to mount at least one multimegaton warhead, without even having to miniaturize much, I don't know if they have their MIRV's figured out already, but that thing surely has the throw weight for them, they've gone from like 1950 to 1980, in the span of about five years.
I'm a North Korea alarmist, but even I didn't think they had something like that yet, ya gotta hand it to them, they are exceeding expectations, and then some. Feel free to stop underestimating the North Koreans anytime now, America. And enough with this pretense that the Chinese are going to do anything about it, as if they even could, you can't be that fuckin' naive. Well, you probably can, you are Americans after all, but it's not gonna happen, so wise up already.

No that's fair assement. Without China GO would've been either invaded and/collapsed by now.StCapps wrote:Wishful thinking.GrumpyCatFace wrote:China remains the only reason that North Korea exists.

Re: North Korea News
You'd like to think that, but it's not true. The regime is far more stable than you think, which is why they constantly defy China and China has no real control over them.Penner wrote:No that's fair assement.
