A typical Canadian in many ways...StCapps wrote:Why do you never talk hockey? What kind of Canadian are you?
My parents immigrated from Europe... and new nothing of hockey...
So by the time I heard anything about hockey, I was already way behind the curve.
For a few years I tried to watch it and get into it... but it never really took.
I tried playing a few times... but that is a difficult game... with a steep learning curve.
I respect the game... it's an awesome spectacle of speed, dexterity, strength and aggression...
But I don't follow it...
Other than the Olympic gold medal games for the past few Winter Olympics...

As far as I am concerned, being a Canadian who doesn't like hockey is both foolish and uncultured.Smitty-48 wrote:He's the opposite, he's nobody's fool, he's an accomplished medical professional at the top of his field, and he's the opposite of uncultured, he's ultracultured, the very model of the urbane effete CBCelites.StCapps wrote:Foolishly uncultured qualifies as a hoser as well, if google is to be believed, but whatevs. In the googlian sense, DrY is a hoser anyway.Smitty-48 wrote:
