Seems like the best option for him. I'm sure more people than just us in the DCF/MHF community saw his backpedaling and stopped listening to CS. I wonder if that was affecting the history show as well.C-Mag wrote:
Just peaked at Dan's Twitter feed...... If I'm seeing this right, looks like Common Sense Show is done, Dan pulled the plug on it.

Not seeing anything on Twitter that makes CS look like it's done.
I think it's effectively done because there's no room in the oversaturated SJW media for a "Me too" podcast. Folks are like "Yeah, Trump totally IS Hitler, and a madman, and a danger, and the worst . . . we already know because our whole google news feed told us".
Like trying to sell ice to Eskimos at this point.

Good Point ^^^
I didn't see a formal announcement from Dan, but the comments led me to believe it was done.
They were talking about maybe doing some interviews or something, Dan mentioned a possible reformatting.

Just listened to it, it was perfectly fine. I don't get the complaints.

Dan never did offer solutions. I still enjoy listening to him but the thought-provoking aspect is gone, or I’ve grown out of it. There’s way more provocative stuff on this forum.

No, not really. Plenty of folks who aren't just "bitter Trumpians" have noted that the podcast has fallen off in recent years, if you think his new stuff is as good as his old stuff, you never listened to the old stuff.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Just bitter Trumpians, refusing to admit that they’ve been suckered.Hwen Hoshino wrote:Just listened to it, it was perfectly fin. Hell even Dan agrees that he's run out of ideas for Common Sense, yet y'all seem sure that he's wrong, and it's just as good as it used to be.
Maybe some of you are just in denial, the Lou Reed effect.

The third party strategy is dead. Trump showed the way whether you like him or not: take over one of the two parties.

Re: Common Sense 316 - The Day of the Dove
The last really good Common Sense, was 46 episodes ago, the podcast has fallen off folks, it's as plain as day.
CS had it, then it lost it, and now the show can't hack it anymore. That's just the way she goes, in all walks of life, this phenomenon is hardly unique to Dan Carlin. Do any show, in any medium, for long enough, and eventually it will fall off, you can't keep a good thing going forever, without a dip in quality being the eventual result.
Name one show that has lasted over a decade, and still maintained the high quality it was known for, throughout it's entire run. I can't think of a single show, in any medium, that accomplished that feat.
