Requirements to be a Good Soldier

The military is a fundamentally social animal, sociopathy is a misinterpretation, sociopaths are driven out of the military rather quickly, usually in basic training, because they can't fit well within the team.

It's a team sport, there's no such thing as a good soldier, only a good unit. In the military, you sublimate your individual identity and drives entirely to the social group, if you're a sociopath, you're clinically incapable of doing that, and military indoctrination is designed to detect and weed that out as part of the process.

Those types are quickly exposed, doesn't take long for them to blade the team and get caught, because they can't help themselves.

The military is the polar opposite of sociopathy, the military is the ultimate in placing your social group, generally the nation, above all else, particularly your own individual welfare and ultimate survival.

What you interpret as sociopathy, is actually tribalism, the most social aspect of the Homo Sapiens Sapiens territorial apex predator in fact.

If you are incapable of grasping this, then it is much more likely that you are in fact the sociopath.
