On some fronts I suppose I have. The political window has shifted very radically and I do, if I'm honest with myself, feel somewhat in control of it. Hm idk. I think the final lesson I had to learn was that shit is rigged and with Trump it is no more or less rigged. Democracy is a lie. I don't have an answer, I think we need to brace.StCapps wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2019 10:09 pmNah, you won, you're just in denial. Re: The Era of Trump Supporters
I tried to tell you that Trump wasn't going to be a big gamechanger, and that the game would still be rigged. Now you seem more open to hearing it, but you can't say I didn't warn you in advance. I even specifically said that Trump was pro-legal immigration, it was just the illegal shit he didn't like, but then you sound surprised that he actually stated it in SOTU address, I wasn't surprised one bit. I even said he's willing to trade limited amnesty for the wall, and sure enough, like clockwork, proven right again, while the rest of the forum acts shocked and betrayed, when I could see it coming from a mile away.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2019 10:12 pmOn some fronts I suppose I have. Y'all just got your hopes up too high, but Trump is still way better than any of the losers the Democrats are going to run.

Re: The Era of Trump Supporters
The most important thing about Trump was simply showing that it could be done, now it is a model that others will use, Trumpism doesn't go away with Trump, and there's plenty of room for even more radical versions of it.

It's not even Trumpism, it's Fordism, Trump stole the idea from Ford Nation.

Yeah he proved that having the most money doesn't always win the election, even if you get badly outspent, that's huge.
"There's too much money in politics, special interests are buying elections, so fuck the first amendment", my ass. Trump proved that to be bullshit, stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Hanoi Dan.

Roger Stone was trying to get Trump to run for twenty years, but it was only after Trump saw Rob Ford becoming a thing in America, did he think that the time was right.

He picked the right time. No incumbent POTUS, running against a Bush and a Clinton, as American Rob Ford FTW.

Re: The Era of Trump Supporters
All of us in Ford Nation have seen from the beginning that it was Fordism scaled up for America, Trump was never like this before, he only turned into this version of Trump, because he saw how much play Ford got, and thought to himself; 'if that guy can get this far, just think what I could do with it."

And of course, the American liberal media has reacted to it exactly like the Toronto liberal media, which is just the liberal media farm team.

Furthermore, America is just a scaled up version of the GTA, with the Red State suburbs at war with City Hall, as the American Blue Cities have all become Toronto clones.
