Another reporter addressed her tweets taunting people with claims she is tenured therefore can never be fired.

Zelezny confirmed that just because a professor is tenured doesn’t mean they can’t be fired.

“There are certainly situations where a tenured professor can be fired,” Zelezny said.

Because Jarrar is tenured, they will have to go through certain procedures to address the union protecting the professor.

That's what happens when you move away from a meritocracy, and toward a . . . whatever arbitrary system put this lady in a permanent position.

Fresno is pretty conservative for a big city, especially so for one in CA, and Fresno State is conservative as far as universities go.

Yesterday, our nation lost a dignified and much-admired public servant as Barbara Bush, our former First Lady, passed away.

Last night, I issued a statement on behalf of Fresno State extending my deepest condolences to the Bush Family on their loss. I also made it clear that statements to the contrary issued by one of our faculty members as a private citizen were matters of personal opinion and did not in any way reflect the University’s core values. I am appalled and deeply disappointed in the insensitive conduct displayed last evening on social media.

Under our Constitution, strong differences of opinion are to be expected and their free expression embraced. This is the essence of our democracy. At the same time, I would like to urge everyone in the campus community to recognize the moment we are in and allow for a time of respectful reflection during the Bush family’s and the nation’s period of mourning.

More broadly, I ask that we each continue to respect individuals with different points of view and to make a sincere commitment to mutual understanding or, at the very least, respectful disagreement.

On behalf of the Fresno State community, I thank you for giving this matter your thoughtful attention.

Fanatic Liberals gleefully ignore this. I'm getting sick and tied of being expected to be held to a different standard and play by different rules. They are more frequently using bullying tactics to silence anyone they don't agree with. At the same time deplorables like this professor spout the same kind of hate they are supposedly against. Oh, but it's different. Hate speech, bullying, and hate crimes are acceptable if the target is someone you label as a racist, sexist, or whatever other tag you choose to give them because they don't agree with you on everything.
