They don't do that in the NFL. Actually there might be some rule against it now that I think about it. It's legal in college ball.

That is a dodgy preposition. That is a live ball and the slightest touch could send it flying out of bounds in the end zone if that happens that is loss of possession and the Pats get the ball on the 20. If that pass is just a centimeter toward that is illegal and would a 15 yard penalty.
