It's not like the Pentagon is hard to miss, seem to recall Al Qaeda flew a plane into it by eyeball navigation alone, but turns out, even flying a plane into the Pentagon is of little military utility, had no effect on operations whatsoever, not even for five minutes.

It's all redundant, you could nuke the Pentagon and the hand off to alternate command posts is practically instantaneous.

Conversely, ostensibly "top secret" US installations around the world are about as secret as Starbucks, as if the locals don't know exactly where the Americans are, I mean, get real, Americans stand out like a sore thumb wherever they go, the more remote the location the easier they are to spot.

If you want to hide, you hide in plain sight, downtown urban centers is an ocean of GPS data, lost in the crowd, soon as you go to a remote location, that's like putting a neon sign up saying "Americans Here", no GPS required.

Like almost all internet clickbait, this story is based on a glaring fallacy, in this case that the US military is covert and in hiding, when in fact nothing could be further from the truth.

DELTA? Range 19, Ft. Bragg NC.

DEVGRU? Dam Neck AWB VA.

Groom Lake? Clearly marked on the map, here's the coordinates for Area 51 right here; 37.2767° N, 115.7989° W

You really think the enemy needs a fitbit to track the routine movements of American troops? I mean, ca'mon, don't be silly.

Soon as you leave the FOB, they're watching your every move, no GPS required.
When you have some parts of the pentagon that is only able to be accessed by specific people, yeah... that’s dangerous. Because then you can figure out their pattern and all hell could break loose.

Like what? What are you realistically going to do? What is more hell breaking loose than a jumbo jet flying into the building?

Lay it out for us, Ethan Hunt.

We found a sand table mock up of our entire FOB in a village. No fitbits back then. Just LNs working on post, and then mapping out the FOB when they got home.

I guess you have to kill all the LNs, then.

Attacking the FOB results in what tho? I mean, you get some shots in, then you're killed, it's a suicide mission, and it doesn't move the needle, the Americans will withdraw simply by driving into the roadside bombs, there's no point in attacking the FOB, just lie in wait for them to inevitably drive around on the supply routes, plant bombs on all those routes, done and done, no FOB attack required.

Suicide is sorta their thing, though.

Hey look! It's the stupidest thing you could think of to post! How wonderfully surprising. Thanks for showing up.

Nope it's true, your first instinct was joy. Hating on the infidels. How does it feel to live in a place that you hate? Is this all because you were rejected by your family? By the faith you were raised in?
That's probably part of my cynicism, but I don't hate America - not the actual place or people. I do hate our woefully incompetent/evil government, tho.

And my reaction was mockery and mirth.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

Suicide is sorta their thing, though.
They seem to spend a lot of time trying to avoid contact, for such suicidal fellows, also, if suicidal, why do they carry combat medical kits?

I was talking to one of your guys who was in Iraq, he said they captured some AQI, rather than suicide themselves, they surrendered, and they had blood expanders, Israeli bandages, morphine, and quick clot.

And why do they need a map of the FOB, if they're planning a suicide attack? Suicide attack is hey diddle diddle straight up the middle, mapping it out seems more like an indirect fire plan.

Do I need to know the number of paces from the perimeter to your mess hall, if I'm going to run it? Sounds more like I'm sighting a mortar there.

For a suicide attack, once they've effected a breach, then they just go to the biggest group of Americans they can find, and then pull the pin on the vest, what's the point in mapping it out to scale, just for that?

Same thing for our troops in Z-P, soon as the Taliban felt like a position was untenable, they didn't go into human wave mode, they bugged out en masse, E&E back down the Arghandab, up into the hills, back into Pakistan, to bide their time for the next opportunity.
