The Democrats dodged the bullet, the shutdown was going to backfire on them, why would the GOP let them off the mat when they had them trapped?

Why would the GOP allow a tax which was a major impediment to Obamacare, be the thing they supposedly "extracted" from the Democrats "in return for" letting the Democrats off the hook, when the Democrats wanted to get rid of that tax?

The Democrats are off the hook with DACA, they got political cover on that now, nobody funded the wall, so there was no trade on that, and they just propped up Obamacare. Qui bono? Everybody except Trump.

But those people really don't amount to a hill o' beans in America, they don't have the juice to swing elections, the Democrats don't need them, if Trump deports them, that's a win for the Democrats, they will just say "this is what happens when you vote for the GOP, who knew?", meanwhile, Trump didn't get his wall funding, which the Democrats clearly want to deny him, because that is a loss for Trump.
