The very idea of Freedom of Association is under attack from the Inclusiveness People. There needs to be a narrative pushback.

The question is really: do you have the liberty to keep people from freely associating with you?

Yes, that is the OP. Currently, the answer is "no, that Right is gone."

The doctrine of Inclusiveness denies you that opportunity at risk of social censure and worse.

To rephrase, "should you have the liberty to keep people from freely associating with you?"

They all have the same rights I do, so I can choose to keep myself away, or be a grown up and deal with people I don't like. I don't get to keep them out of places I frequent, but do not own.

Mr. Trump’s supporters are practiced at purposeful blindness. That his political life started with denying, without evidence, that Barack Obama is American — that this black man could truly be the legitimate president — is simply ignored. So, too, is his history of housing discrimination, his casual conflation of Muslims with terrorists, his reducing Mexican-Americans to murderers and rapists. All along, his allies have watched racial pornography, describing black America as pathological. Yet they deny that there is any malice whatsoever in his words and actions. And they dismiss any attempt to recognize the danger of his wide-ranging animus as political correctness.

The Best and The Brightest schtick has lost it's appeal, The Rich and Famous schtick, that's in. Keep up the new angle, and you might just come close to winning an election for once. Gotta tell Americans what they want to hear, even if you refuse to lie, now you're starting to get it.

I think, traditionally, when rich folk wanted to maximize their freedom of association, they would set up various courts of the Sun King and whatnot.

But, you gotta watch for them sniveling, coat-tail-riding, courtiers, and back-stabbing viziers.

Imagonna rephrase your rephrasing: "Who gave you the 'right' to force people to associate with those whom they don't like??"


Maybe we need to go back to what natural rights actually mean and recover that old ground, because this is getting silly.
