The only Boomers/Echo Boomers I have any time for, are the one's who served in the military, not because service in the military is virtuous or anything like that, it's just that the military humbles you, you learn that you're not the center of the universe, that you are in fact expendable downrange, and big green machine rolls on without you, and so don't try to be a whistlehead, just carry your own water, cover your own arcs, and when you get a chance, smoke em' if you got em'.

Real MTV or whatever it was, the first time I consciously noticed the pozzed propaganda on television, started around 1991. Every single series had some homosexual in it. I remember sitting there thinking, if you didn't think about it, you might think there were far more black people and homosexuals based on the representations in these shows..

And don't volunteer unless it's serious. You could end up in the paint barn sanding jets for the next two weeks, and I'd rather be shot at, honestly.

And btw. When I was still trying to keep my ninja turtle collectibles safe from thievery in my spic grade school I'm pretty sure I wasn't the one lining out MTV with The Real World pozz. I guess it wasn't gen x either but if you're going to use shit yard sticks it all sticks the same.
Well I'm fairly sure millennials aren't the ones manning executive board rooms pushing out the pozz. That's your generation. Sure, mine seems to clamor for it but at least I call it out. You guys? Nah, someone else's fault. Echo boomers my ass.we weren't the ones doing that

And don't fucking try to stick this on boomers. They are completely clueless. They look at you guys and raise their hands "I don't know what's going on with kids these days." It's you faggots making these executive decisions.

No need to volunteer at all, if you see the need, and you know you can take care of that shit deftly, then take the initiative and just do it, but there's no need to raise your hand and say "oh, oh, pick me", just fuckin' do what has to be done, then back into the formation and cover your arcs, badda bing, badda boom.Speaker to Animals wrote:Smitty-48 wrote:The only Boomers/Echo Boomers I have any time for, are the one's who served in the military, not because service in the military is virtuous or anything like that, it's just that the military humbles you, you learn that you're not the center of the universe, that you are in fact expendable downrange, and big green machine rolls on without you, and so don't try to be a whistlehead, just carry your own water, cover your own arcs, and when you get a chance, smoke em' if you got em'.

Yeah, but there's generally no honor or nobility to be had in volunteering on the flight line. It's not like those delta force guys jumping out of the choppers into Mogadishu to fuck up some Africans' day and become legends. It means instead horrible details that -- I am not kidding -- you'd rather be shot at instead of doing in some cases.
Anything that has some semblance of honor doesn't need to be asked. If some plane has a mysterious flight control problem, people just stay there for like 18 hours or more to figure it out and fix it.
There is no honor in the paint barn.

It stayed good until late 97 I'd saySpeaker to Animals wrote:Nukedog wrote:Incoming rebuttals:

You guys are just lazy. Our MTV was the shit
You never played outside and scabbed your knees. So what if you got shanked by the diversity in your neighborhood. Ours was all white lol
You don't even know what it was like when MTV was cool. You have no idea. That shit went south by around 1992.
It was only a brief number of years where MTV was very cool. We would sit there for hours watching it. It was great.
But yeah, I used to watch it all day from like when I was 8 in 88 until I went to college in 98

By 1993, Head banger's ball was already cucked to shit. Most of the programming was shifting away from music.California wrote:It stayed good until late 97 I'd saySpeaker to Animals wrote:Nukedog wrote:Incoming rebuttals:

MTV had about eight good years.
