Again, zero batteries needed. The capacitor will hold a charge indefinitely.Speaker to Animals wrote:I wasn't talking about how long the batteries must last. It's the exact same problem.

Not really, a little larger than a soda can right now...Speaker to Animals wrote:I wasn't talking about how long the batteries must last. I was talking about how many batteries you would need. This thing might be a lot bigger, and heavier, than you think because of the batteries.

LOL, I didn't say it was working yet, I am making it... right now it's a little larger than a soda can. I am not going to finish it till I figure out the db issue. Right now I am debating about a blast noise, but at the same time doing a low sound... for disorientation.Speaker to Animals wrote:The Conservative wrote:Not really, a little larger than a soda can right now...Speaker to Animals wrote:I wasn't talking about how long the batteries must last. I am getting the frame printed so I can get the LEDs into the system, the only thing I have working right now is the capacitor and the discharge. Can't see much on that.
You want to know more than that you got to become a funder.

Take your kickstarter scam and shove it.
Look at the specs for the LED and for whatever speaker you are using to generate a 130db sound and post the power requirements for them.

Lights need 3.7v the noise is another 3v. Nothing outrageous.Speaker to Animals wrote:Take your kickstarter scam and shove it.

Re: 130db (loud enough)
The noise you generate with that low voltage is likely a high-pitched tone that likely will damage hearing.

With a long-term usage, a short burst should cause a person to flinch. Also, the 130db is used in publically accessible "emergency" protection...Speaker to Animals wrote:The noise you generate with that low voltage is likely a high-pitched tone that likely will damage hearing.

No. Any amount can damage at a high pitch like that.
