I'm betting that 9 out of 10 of them, when actually quizzed on what they want, only want to be "socialist" in the same way Europe's Social Democrats are "socialist"... I haven't met a Social Democrat, or even heard of a contemporary who wants to be abolish capitalism. Anti-Capitalist Socialism is dead and buried. Not just because Social Democrats "betrayed" their origins, but also simply because the society Marx was describing in the 19th century doesn't really correspond to the modern day society.
