They are not immigrants but US citizens. Puerto Rico is a US territory.
Aware of this. Granting an entire island of foreigners citizenship is essentially immigration policy as far as I'm concerned.

The point of the OP is that they will be able to vote in US counties.

We made them citizens when we went to war with Spain for some reason nobody can remember and gained the island when Spain surrendered. Then the sugar and fruit companies lobbied the government to keep the place, so if you want to get pissed, go to Miami and find The Man from Del Monte and break his legs.

Oh look, another mega corp that has no problem inundating Americans with foreigners. And here Antifa was telling people like me I was just being a corporate tool for opposing immigration and demographic replacement.

Del Monte is responsible for all sorts of terrible things in Latin America. Same with Dole, Nestle, and others.

Banana republics yeah. I listen to the Beyonf the Wall podcast and they have good and bad things to say about the right wing governments we propped up down there. Interestingly we always encouraged Mexico to be left wing some how or another. I guess the idea was that it would be best not to prop up right wing dictators on your own doorstep.

We were constantly fighting the Mexican right wing throughout the 19th century. The Mexican right wing was Santa Anna.

Yeah but the ruling party has been La Revolution for like at least sixty years. I think around the time they nationalized all our industry in Mexico. Weird how there wasn't much of a push back that I can recall.

Remember the Maine (which we totally have no idea what happened, so it was Spain’s fault, and we definitely weren’t looking for an excuse to get little Teddy’s rocks off)

Well, they won't do that again.
