Re: There shall be a movie called Iraqi Sniper...
I always shit on American movies for being lowest common denominator, but then when I see a foreign movie I see that the denominator is even lower. Its pretty terrible for art that Hollywood is now pandering to Chinese audiences and setting the bar down in the sewer. We are degrading our art and culture even more just for a chance to get some of that yuan. Fast and the Furious 7 is fucking Shakespeare and Despicable me is Goethe compared to the garbage they like in Asia.

The Italians used to make the best westerns. If somebody wants to take on American war movies, then they need to look at how the Spaghetti Westerns did it.

Hurt Locker was boring, didn't go anywhere, didn't have a plot, "wanh-wanh, I'm EOD, the end" Zzzzz.

Theres not a chink director who has even 1/100 of the talent that Sergio Leone has. Shit Michael Bay is Martin Scorsese compared to any director on that entire continent...Speaker to Animals wrote:The Italians used to make the best westerns. A lot of people were talking about how gritty it was, but apparently it was inaccurate as fuck and way off the mark. The opening scene was cool though. Just an overrated movie is all.Smitty-48 wrote:Hurt Locker was boring, didn't go anywhere, didn't have a plot, "wanh-wanh, I'm EOD, the end" Zzzzz.

Please, the Italians have no chance, it was all Clint Eastwood, without Eastwood those movies are unwatchable.Speaker to Animals wrote:The Italians used to make the best westerns. If somebody wants to take on American war movies, then they need to look at how the Spaghetti Westerns did it.
Nobody has a chance against America, America doesn't have to get it right everytime, all America has to do is hit one out of ten, but when that one is Sergeant Barnes or Colonel Kilgore? It's over, game, set, and match.
