Kaepernick is basically blacklisted because of this but he personally can't prove it but it's really what pretty much everybody silently agrees on. The NFL was just happy to sweep this under the rug but every since Trump decided to make it his thing, the reverse has happened. Now, it's everywhere and there are too many players to fire/not sign and/or even blacklisted without doing major overhauling (and they are probably won't do it if a multimillion-dollar quarterback is doing it (or making statements) they will stop it because again there is no rule in the NFL saying that they have to stand during the national anthem).

Kaep didn't lose his job for kneeling. He lost his job for sucking. That's why he had already been replaced and was sitting on the bench when he pulled his stunt. He knew he wasn't gonna get signed at the end of the season for his shitty play, so he pulled a stunt in hopes he'd be able to leverage his victim status against the team he knew was going to cut him. It didn't work. He got cut anyway.

The NFL has a bottleneck problem. No other league can give you the same level of talent unlike most businesses. These guys are doing this in stadiums funded by taxpayer money in a league that has a monopoly. The ones who got roasted by "comedian" Michelle Wolf cared. I watched a few minutes of it on Youtube. She wasn't even trying to be funny. It was, well, deplorable.
From TV to movies to literature, the left is now is full on assault mode and it's ruining entertainment. Sports figures even get political, but at least the games themselves are free of it (so far). Everything else is designed to shove their political and cultural views down our throats.
