The folks who argue that the Constitution is a flexible, living, breathing document are the same folks who argue that the poem is immutable law

The DNC already imploded, but what will replace it is fucking lunacy. We might be headed for a one-party state until the boomers die off and their millennial offspring have no other generational ally to create such a huge political force.

We already are a cunt hair away from the GOP controlling enough states to call a constitutional convention and killing the federal government as we know it. That's how little the democratic party matters right now.

Think about that. After the next cycle, there's a chance the GOP will actually have the power to kill the federal government.

The democratic party is fucking toast.

And the people that argue the poem is meaningless also argue for the importance of intangible American 'values.'

Funny that. It is almost like people are good at rationalizing whatever positions they like.

I'd be thrilled if the DNC or GOP imploded - maybe that's what it takes to get a new party or two going.
Umm, you realize the Chicago is a DNC stronghold? Can't blame the Republicans on that one at all.

Get your point, but not a strong analogy.

Not the strongest... but sometimes I like to shoot from the hip and play it fast and loose with my analogies.

...and you think the problem there is "Democrats"? You honestly believe that GOP politicians possess some superior moral fiber that would prevent that shitshow from happening?

 The GOP will control the entire federal government, and then abolish the federal government.

I do agree with you, though, that ideology leads to such rationalization
