I think in the old greek days, a person would show how impressive they were by doing something grand for the public, like building a public bath or library, and then the people would erect a statue of them in thanks. Could be a myth.

I learned a long time ago, let actions speak for you. Your words can tell a story, your actions tell volumes.

I remember a lot about Barry Sanders, but I don't remember any spiking, dabbing, or pelvis-thrusting.

My "actions" fill an 11 page resume.

It simply doesn't make logical sense unless "fame" is Lucktocracy.

p.s. Is there anyone who has met or thinks they ever will meet someone with more achievements than me?

Eleven pages that nobody out of 10,000 randomly sampled Americans could name.
;)

Did you know that Shunpei Yamazaki holds over 10,000 patents including ones for inventing thin film transistors, Liquid crystal displays, Solar cells, Flash memory, and OLED?

Me neither. Not before it came up on a podcast I was listening to. Imagine that, poor ol' Shunpei walking around Tokyo or wherever, watching countless people using his LCD screens, his flash memory technology, etc, etc and thinking "not one of these fuckers have any idea who I am".

It ain't fair, hoss.
Life ain't fair.

I have. Steve Jobs, George Bush Sr., hell I've met Samuel Jackson, and I even told Gordon Ramsey to fuck off one time after he got in my face for serving me an egg undercooked.

Oh, and 11 pages? Is that all? I had an 11-page resume a decade ago... when I was forced to run through to get my Top Secret Clearance for working for the Government/State.

Again, resumes don't impress me, ego sure in hell doesn't impress me... people with a lot of ability, with humility when it is called for impresses me. I lived a life being abused by egotistical sons of a bitches, and assholes. I don't hold credence to people who thrust the accolades in my face. Especially since most of them do shit for me or my life.

And you deserved to be unrecognized too, so we are all even... welcome aboard to the fucktard train. I'm your conductor, you will take your seat, enjoy the ride, and if you don't, well fuck off, since none of us give a damn, to begin with.
