It kind of looks like they tried to rush a head of state. If that is the case, the police had to have been beating them down just as hard. You better believe that.
Don't go bum rushing no head of state or diplomats. Play silly games and win silly prizes and all..

Sorry, I know. I said just enough details to confuse, but not enough to explain.Smitty-48 wrote:No, the Osman Turks were the mercenary Steppe-Nomadic cavalry of the Abbasid Caliphate brought from what is now Turkemenistan in Central Asia, they aren't the Byzantines, they displaced the Byzantines, in a series of annexations in the 15th century.jbird4049 wrote:Turkey = Ottoman Empire = Byzantine Empireheydaralon wrote:Turks make good food, and sofa accessories, but that is all they do. Well if they were rushing in, that's different.

Lol.
Yet nothing compared to Libyans. Remember in 1984 when Anti-Gaddafi people demonstrated against Gaddafi in the UK?
Likely at sometime US Turkish relations are going to be as good as the US-Iran relations.
Not saying because of this, but just looking at how things in general are going with Turkey and the US.

That's what that motorcade looks like. In one frame I saw a cop beating the fuck out of one of them with a stick. They usually don't do that against a mob unless there is something serious going down. Then in the end of the video you can see secret service guys taking over the scene.
It's not like his bodyguards are just wandering the streets looking for Kurds either. They aren't going to be far from papa bear.
Nothing you can do about it anyway. They have immunity.

Protesters, of any stripe, are a pestilence on society, seize power by any means necessary if you will, but if you lack the will, don't bother waving a fuckin' placard in lieu, because nobody fuckin' cares, and, you're backing the traffic up, a simple beating is actually too merciful for that, but it should at least be a given.
There's only one exception, and that is if you go full on Vietnamese Bhuddist Monk; douse yourself with gasoline and light yourself on fire. For that, OK, I'll pull over and give you your due...
... but otherwise, you should be run over, although, not with a horse, as I always say; never risk a good horse just to crush a protester, dismount first, and then close with.

Horses are great for crowd control. You don't ask a horse for mercy. It's just gonna go right over you if you don't get the fuck out.

But the horse can be injured, horses are not actually good for trampling on complex terrain, that's how they break their legs and then you have to put them down, if it was war, so be it, but since it's merely an asinine protest, there no reason to put horses at risk, that's what we're paying these bloody police these bloody exorbitant pensions for, the police are filthy public sector unionized employees, I consider them to be totally expendable downrange.Hastur wrote:Horses are great for crowd control. Horses are lovely, majestic, noble creatures. Public sector unionized employees? Subhuman cockroaches.

I don't think the horses are in any great danger. They are deployed regularly over here and I can't remember reading about any of them being hurt. On principle I agree with you. They are indeed lovely, majestic, noble creatures and they don't get a choice in the matter.

Oh, police horses get injured all the time, just the other day, a bunch of socialists were protesting, and of course they have take it too far, until the police are kettling them with horses, and what does one of those commie bastards do? Takes an umbrella, jams it up under the protective shield, and gouges a horses eye out. I'd have that man shot, in the guts, and then left to die in a ditch.
