I would imagine that a post-op would tell their partner before sex, just as a matter of personal safety. However trannies have been rumored to "trap" people, so who the hell knows.

For people who support the idea that a man who gets a sex change operation is now a woman:

Would you have sex with a man who got a sex change operation? Would you consider this heterosexual intercourse? If you would not want to have sex with this person, could you give a valid reason? You can't simply say "because they are trans," or "they are not my type." Would this transexual be obligated to tell his partners that he was once a man?


I was having an argument about this with someone the other day, and when I asked them these questions they didn't really have a good answer. It was pretty funny though.

Deep down he's a good dude even if I think this is a terrible move on his part. Whatever he chooses to do, he is still a human being. But I think its very fucked up. I've told him this, but he is dead set on it so idk. I don't really see him more than a few times a year, but it still bothers me. I'm 26 years old, but I feel like an old man now. I think all the culture war battles I have seen unfold over the last few years have driven me into the arms of the right. There are a lot of things I disagree with conservatives and republicans on, but there are certain central pillars of today's left that I vocally do not agree with. My girlfriend is far more accepting of this kind of thing than I am. She will never convince me this is normal though.
