Nope.

Guess you should change your handle to clubINEFFECTIVE.

Newark hates Booker because "He never gave nobody no jobs”, and he cut over 1000 municipal government jobs. That's because (according to his chief of staff) "The idea is not to have city jobs, it’s to expand the universe of possible employment opportunities.”

Why do you hate him?
I could care less about biography. I am not a little boy reading comic books picking superheroes like those are career options or reasonable political choices. Frankly it would be a waste of a superhero to have him sit in committee meetings. So I voted for McCain when it counted not in a Primary when Bush always had the nom locked up. Might as call yourself DB FAST trek and the DB mean Dreams Broken. As for hate him. You sweet SJW I dont hate him, the progs do, the bernie bros do, the main question is why you shilling for him. He is bigtime free trade, he fundsraises and rakes in the cash. He is pro big banks and being the Senator from NJ I can tell you he is in the pocket og big pharma. He is a big supporter of Israel. He is anti-gun. For you, what is there to like.

Barbara Byers is one of them. Remember that emergency diaper delivery? That was her.

“He did come and bring me Pampers,” Byers told me recently on Highland Avenue. Back in 2010, her brother had tweeted at Booker three days after a massive snowstorm that Byers could not get out and was running out of diapers. Booker, as he was fond of saying on his Twitter feed, was “on it.”

Byers laughed at the memory and thinks everyone missed the point: Booker, she said, focused on the individual heroics because the larger task of managing city services eluded him.

“The only reason he brought me Pampers was that it had been three days and our street hadn’t been plowed,” she said. “I have five kids and, trust me, I don’t just run out of Pampers. All we wanted was for him to plow our streets. It’s about knowing how to manage a city.”
From the article you cited. Its all sizzle no steak, great for legislator especially in the minority but doesnt have to govern, not so much for basic shit. This is whst I am talking about. We don't need a superhero delivering diapers in a snowstorm, plow the streets you basic bitch.

But you are a little boy when it comes to politics. You believe considering the personal character of a representative is a form of "hero worship". You think having a handful of policy disagreements disqualifies people from deserving your vote. Unless they have an (R) by their name, that is. In that case you can disagree with all the policy you want, they could be the vilest scoundrels in town, but you'll still be pulling that lever for them like a tool. What is more basic than that?

We can train dogs to pull levers. In fact, calling you a little boy when it comes to politics is actually lending you more credit than you deserve. You're an automaton. A brainless device that performs a simple function. Pull that lever Fido. Pull it again.

Nice try but no dice. You can try to insult me all you like but you have a past. You mock voting period, you think it is an automaton in of itself but just the opposite is true. Politicians are not human beings when it comes to this game they are products. And yes some policy disagreements are "Do not pass go" affairs, guns are one of those for me. I wouldn't buy a product on a store shelf that says "warning may advocate for the dissolution of rights you hold dear at any moment." But you would because you are all distracted by the human packaging. "But clubby this Cory Booker action figure (doll) has kung fu grip." Being a politician is a basic bitch thing, keep it simple and direct, fuck your bitch emotions. I can't help I am more informed than you and you want to call me names for it while you are easily distracted by the fancy cartoon logo on the box. "But he saves people from burning buildings." Does DB not know there is already a government job for that? "Oh he is brave and independent" Fuck that I dont go to Home Depot to buy a table saw that is brave and independent and may eviscerate me at any second, I sure as hell dont choose my politicians that way. Yeah it's basic, yeah it's simplistic, yes it's mundane and boring, yes it's cold and impersonal, and yes I like it that way. This isn't prom queen or a beauty competition. You can still wait and clap like a trained seal in anticipation of little Miss New Jerseys performance in the swimsuit competition and you can insult me because I don't care. Your criticisms dont have any merit on the policy and that is all that matters they are afterall called politicians. Maybe one day you'll grow up and stop thinking "I am voting for the coolest action figure." Maybe you won't. Maybe I'll care what you think of others decisions, maybe I won't.

It does seem like you're reaching a bit, DB. I'm not saying he's a bad guy, but my 98 great aunt went on a hunger strike because she wanted to get out of the nursing home. Then she died. Does that make her a hero, fighting for what she believed was right?

This guy seems like a dude who knows how to use dramatics to his advantage.

If there's a zeitgeist for the internet generation, it's a bunch of nobody do-nothings pooh-poohing everyone who has ever done anything.

On the right it's always "All these people who put their lives on the line for their convictions are just hucksters. They're nothing."
On the left it's always "These rich Republicans never did shit for their money, they're all trust fund babies who never accomplished jack, they're nothing".

But the truth is, it's you.
You all are projecting.
You guys are the mouthy, opinionated, malcontented dregs of society who are nothing.

/shrug

Sometimes the truth bomb must be dropped
