We use proper utensils on planes. Chopsticks are unnecessary risks.heydaralon wrote:Didn't you guys hear that the TSA banned chopsticks?

He somehow managed to get back on the flight. In the video you can see him babbling incomprehensibly, I don't know if that's a result of the beating or just an example of some good old fashioned Nagasaki radiation...

Yes, toon. I just think it's going to incite even more public rage, now that it was corporate employees that 'just showed up' and wanted to go somewhere. Delicious.TheReal_ND wrote:That's kind of what Hash already pointed out. Do you even read posts anymore?

That's not what it was, United had a plane without a crew waiting at the other end, they were sending a crew "must fly" so that flight wouldn't have to be cancelled, it wasn't employees flying for personal reasons on a whim, they were working.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Yes, toon. This guy might get a free plane ticket out of this, but otherwise he doesn't have a case, doesn't have a right to stage a sit-in, it's private property, they ask you to leave, they tell you to leave, if you still don't leave, they throw your ass out, it's a ticket to ride, but it's still subject to terms, at the airlines discretion.

How did that guy get back on the plane? He was fucking bleeding from the mouth and concussed? Did he pull a Jason Bourne and escape?

It's a private venue, if a business tells you to vacate the premises, and you refuse, their private security is going to have latitude to forcibly remove you, it might be bad PR, but if he's staging a "protest" and they have to haul his ass out, that's on him.
Basically, at the point that he outright refusing to leave, he's tresspassing, at which point, subject to as much reasonable force as is required to remove him.

This is after he bought and paid for a ticket, and was already accepted into the flight at the gate. At that point, he's cargo and entitled to all rights and privledges unless voided by breach of contract.Smitty-48 wrote:It's a private venue, if a business tells you to vacate the premises, and you refuse, their private security is going to have latitude to forcibly remove you, it might be bad PR, but if he's staging a "protest" and they have to haul his ass out, that's on him.
Since he obviously wasn't doing anything wrong, and they yanked him out forcibly, I'd say that's grounds for breach of contract, and violation of his rights as a passenger.
Also, this isn't our first fucking year conducting air travel in this country. I'm not aware of any previous issues like this unless the passenger was belligerent.

No one's ever been booted from a flight y'all. This is the first time. I blame Trump.GrumpyCatFace wrote:This is after he bought and paid for a ticket, and was already accepted into the flight at the gate. lol. Pure bafflegab. He has no such right, the ticket has terms which allow them to cancel, you can demand your money back, but you have no "right" to that flight, they however, have the right to demand that you leave the premises, at all times, it's no different than any private business telling you to leave and you refusing; "paging security, security to aisle five..."GrumpyCatFace wrote:This is after he bought and paid for a ticket, and was already accepted into the flight at the gate. At the point where he outright refused to vacate the premises, he's tresspassing, the breach of contract would be on the passenger, the fine print on the ticket ensures that they can demand that you leave the flight as they deem necessary.Since he obviously wasn't doing anything wrong, and they yanked him out forcibly, I'd say that's grounds for breach of contract, and violation of his rights as a passenger.
