GCF's confusion does not phase the Queen. She is head of state, and parliament respects her authority, even if GCF does not.

Who authorizes British airstrikes?

The PM.
You are right, the monarchy has next to no say in what Parliament does but very occasionally on the quiet they poke the royal nose in. If they did it on a regular basis in important matters we would become a republic faster than you can say "one is not amused."
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Or we'd just throw out the old monarch and get a new monarch who steps in less often, like the last time. Fuck republics yo, constitutional monarchy ftw.

So, you're telling me that they have no actual authority, other than a ceremonial veto power that is regularly ignored, and that they will be replaced if they become too nosy. But that's a head of state. And you believe in her power.

Enjoy your tea party.

All actual authority flows through the monarch, they are sovereign, it's not just a belief, it's a fact.

We have one hell of a sweet deal worked out, we've enjoyed it, are continuing to enjoy it, and will continue to enjoy said deal for some time to come. GSTQ.

Like I said.. that's great for you. You're a very good boy. Your parents are, no doubt, very proud of you.

Your chaotic republic isn't as sweet of a deal, from where I am sitting. Enjoy your individual sovereignty, but that's a double edged sword. We steal your best ideas and scrap your worst, we may not be as innovative but once we discover a better solution we can implement it a lot easier. Learning from America's mistakes so we don't have to fall prey to those same mistakes, is definitely a strong suit of ours.

From where y'all are sitting though you might be willing to put up with the extra chaos for the individual sovereignty and that generally works out great for us when that shit stays on your side of the border and you don't stir up too many hornets nests abroad that end up blowing back on us as well. Keep on with your Republican set up America, we appreciate it, but our deal is still sweeter than yours.
