Well, you know my POV. We just passed into a new era American Politics and the Dems are ceding their 80 year dominance to the GOP for the first time since the 20s, so I basically agree with you. BHO will be ineffective in his new endeavor. And I think you're on to something. He may help destroy that remaining traditional power base in DC.

Wrong again, Carlus... GOP had both houses from 2003-2007, Bush years.

Kath, he makes himself an easy target for a joke, and I posted the Snopes rebuttal which noted W and BJ Clinton. To me, my post was pretty balanced and it poked fun out the lame duck president. That's not so bad is it ?

Hey, but it is going to look great next to his Nobel Peace Prize and his stuffed OBL head on his wall.

Damn, in my opinion, that some total erosion on political history right there. I mean you think that the Dems were dominating for 80 years or something? What were they dominating in? I mean I can recall periods where the Rs were dominated in Washington (and it didn't happen within 2010 or something but like the 1990s and the early 200s).

GOP has always been the minority party, until now. That's how bad this defeat was, though I don't think many democrats yet realize how badly they were beaten.

FTR, Okee, you get points deducted for improper use of 'Felicia' (it means 'someone forgettable'). Also, you can't get away with using it even if you use it properly. You're a parental unit.

That said, regardless of politics I'll miss having a first family we can be proud of. Good kids and the Obamas clearly have a successful marriage and are still in love after all these years. Good on them.

I agree. Very classy family in the White House. First in quite some time. Very refreshing. Nobody will accuse this first family of being classy.

Okay, that sounds like gaslighting to me. The Republicans were the majority party back in 2003-2006/2007 (and even Kath stated this). This is blatantly wrong on so many levels.

Agreed. When Obama was elected, for the first time in my adult life, I was proud of my country
