Reddit's upvote downvotes have inherent flaws that work differently than a traditional message board/forum but when you can only "like" stuff it provides a nice way to say "I agree" or "good post" when you don't just want to take up space with a new post. It also functions to show if someone's joke was funny without people needing to respond and simply post " " . There must be drawbacks but I've enjoyed it.
This forum is pretty sweet all-around though and doesn't need any of these additions (imnsho). I love this style of website and it's so nice to read in a place like this rather than Facebook or Reddit's formats.
