I've followed this thing ad naseum, and I've come to a few conclusions.
1. The depth and far reaching amount of corruption is so great, if it were all released it would threaten the stability of the country.
2. There are so many people, and the most senior people in our government involved they will fight prosecutions to prevent any of the players making public what happened.
3. We will see no further prosecutions until after the election, and if Trump loses, it will all be swept under the rug. If Trump wins, a deal will be made for a few to be prosecuted. We will not get justice.
It's all about money and power, and how Trump America first agenda threatens money and power in Washington. Remember, the Gang of Eight knows almost everything, they are briefed on and approve of everything, from spying on Trump to illegally arming ISIS, to covering up Benghazi, to not giving a shit bout why we are waging wars.
Cui bono, who benefits. Right now Mitch McConnell is holding a position that he will not approved Trumps nominations for Ambassadors to Afghanistan and Germany. Because Mitch isn't going to have people in those positions that will threaten the graft and kickbacks our elected leaders enjoy.
