at this point, of the available options, I'd probably go with Tulsi Gabbard

if only she wasn't a Democrat

come to the GOP, Tulsi

I mean, you're giving speeches at CPAC

so you've already crossed the red line

I can't believe we're talking about Trump when 1 year into FJB, the world is at an end. Jesus Christ. I want Trump back NOW
see I think it's too late

Trump was an effective bulwark preventing this from happening in the first place

but now that it has happened, Trump can't put the genie back in the bottle
The huge problem here is that this ratchet is sliding and all our side can do is hold, we can't get any clicks b/c we're so outnumbered and outmaneuvered. There's what: a dozen of us who aren't FMS? We can't even keep a single, off-grid forum from being overrun.

This could be the end of Trumpism too. It's kind of like a mirror in that you can see what Trumpism looks like from the outside. Next time that dingbat woman from Georgia opens her mouth and says stupid shit, it's just going to sound like Putin and people are going to say it. And it's not like these people can somehow pivot their rhetoric to make Trumpism about protecting America from Putin when they spent the past two years praising the guy and defending everything he does.
I only saw Trump as a means to an end

a temporary stopgap, least worst option vs Hillary Clinton

I didn't endorse him

but NukeDog said "Pascal's wager" how can he be worse than Clinton ?

I didn't have an argument against that

I didn't find Trump to be a big deal mind you, basically a Reagan Democrat, same as he ever was
He definitely stopped Hillary. It would have been us. Instead of Russia trapped in Ukraine, it would have been us trapped in Syria or some other place because of her. We had no good options there, and he didn't really go totally nuts until after he was elected.

a lot of big talk, but in the end, in terms of policy, seemed like a conventional Reagan Democrat to me

As I've said time and time again when you say this. Fuck you.

I will fight for what is right, and I will protect my family from people who are willing to bend over and take it. You sound like you are giving up.

I've already said what I have prior, and honestly don't care what you think, but if you think any true American is going to give up just because it looks hopeless, you have not been paying attention.

you gotta go right at them

high risk gambit is the only way to conduct operations in the face of thermonuclear war

there are no safe options

running away is not safe, that's worst of all worlds

No, we didn't. We almost did during Kennedy...we were less than 20 seconds from going nuclear on Cuba/Russia to remove the missiles. Reagan knew where we stood and went with it. We weren't even close to that level of "oh shit."
