Ukraine just broke kayfabe. Russia had no plan for that and are now stuck along the roads in the beginning of rasputitsa.

speaking of that

they have apparently deployed every available military truck in their inventory to Ukraine already

they can't increase the number of troops in the operation

because they don't have any more trucks to supply them with

they actually have a shortage of trucks for the troops they have deployed now

they are already using civilian pattern vehicles being brought in on trains to try to make up the shortfall

As God as my witness, I thought I was being trolled when I saw trains loaded with civilian vehicles.

putting aside that virulently anti-Semitic Canada refused to take Jewish refugees

putting aside that Canada was allied to Stalin & the Bolsheviks

lots of countries were allies to the Nazis

eventually they put me through to a military attache

I explained the situation to him

in the end he said what I thought they would say

at my age, with a bad right hip, and with knees that are shot

I'm too old to be an effective addition to their ranks

but he thanked me on behalf of Ukraine for offering my services

Is it fair to say at this point Smitty, that the suggestion of further large scale, ground excursions by the Russian military is highly doubtful as we are seeing the amount of damage well armed insurgent type defense can inflict to an invader trying to "limit casualties and win hearts & minds"?

they are bringing in Ramzan Kadyrov's Chechen Jihadists to terrorize the population into submission

they are resorting to widespread unrestricted shelling of residential neighborhoods

I find it highly disturbing that after this, Russia will nothing but nukes to fall back on for deterrence.

What shape are those nukes in if the their trucks don't even have fresh tires, the field rations are rancid and they don't have enough shells for their arty?
