Whatever. No point in talking to you as usual. The Conservative wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 8:05 amThe silos were not where the explosion came from... The blast expands in 3 dimensions so to be felt three times as far it would have to be a lot more than 3 times bigger. The local geography also plays in as does the fact that the oklahoma bomb was up towards a building. I assume it was increased in one direction and deceased in the other. The Conservative wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 5:39 am
Yes, and I know exactly where you got that statistics from...
Your math is accurate, but as I stated, the images I showed were of a 1MT, not Kilotonne. It was 1,000 Kilotonnes...
Also, my math comes from the Oklahoma City Bombing, the reported blast radius was said to be felt 155 miles away... that was three times the distance as the Oklahoma City Bombing's range, and it only used 1 Ton of Amonnia Nitrate...
So, to exponentially increase the damage by three... what do you need to do?
Same thing in Beirut with that Silo to some extent but that seems to have been placed in paralell to the blast as seen from inland.

So you are telling me the building in front of the silo was holding 2700 metric tons of Ammonia Nitrite? I'm sorry, but this was not an Ammonia Nitrite explosion. I've already said that if it was land-based it would take a 3.3 MT explosion to reach as far as they said it did. Far beyond what 2.7k metric tons on Ammonia Nitrate can produce. at a 1 PSI shockwave)
And the Oklahoma City Bombing did more damage to the structure next to it with 1 Ton of Ammonia Nitrite. That Silo system looks like it will need to be torn down, but its outer shell is mostly standing.
This entire situation does not make mathematical or other sense.

Oklahoma City Bombing... the blast was in front of the building. A ton of Ammonium Nitrate causes this, and damage to 300 buildings. Now if we increase the AN by a factor of 2000, you are telling me that:
Is all the damage we are going to see?

Re: BREAKING NEWS
Pretty much, yeah. it left a crater into the ocean, vaporized the warehouse, and destroyed the giant grain silo behind it (roughly the size of that federal building).

Re: BREAKING NEWS
The damage outside of the blast zone is not conducive to what they stated... seriously, look at the damage, it stops at the waterfront. You should have structural damage to buildings at least on the NW part of that photo...SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:13 pmPretty much, yeah. it left a crater into the ocean, vaporized the warehouse, and destroyed the giant grain silo behind it (roughly the size of that federal building).
This shows to me it was either a targeted strike or there was something else under the facility.
Chose your poison.

Someone I know just say the Lebanese may have been involved. Trying to find out more, but so far that's deep down a rabbit hold I'm not willing to go down just yet.

Well, they did store huge amounts of ammonium nitrate in an unsafe manner if that's what you mean. The Conservative wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 2:02 pmSomeone I know just say the Lebanese may have been involved.
