I also don't believe we are getting inherently more intelligent, which the IQ tests indicate.

It is simply a set of data that can be correlated with any other number of data sets. One of them is demographics.

The IQ test is not a genetic test, and demographics are not genetic observations, but it is easy to think of them that way.

And you know that the strength of the correlation is still debated, and that, either way , it is still just a correlation.

Assuming even the strongest correlation, there may be some interesting things it might tell us about culture and intellect, the heritability of intellectual prowess, the definition of intelligence, or any other proposition.

What it absolutely does not tell us is how intelligent any member of a particular race is compared to any other member of a different race, even if we could pin down an acceptable definition of race, which is far from certain.
