Wasn't too long after the indoctrination from the teachers union ended after high school, that I began to get hip to most of their bullshit. Actually knowing my history better than the vast majority of Eskimo Communists no doubt played a role, especially knowing my American history made me wise to a lot of their anti-American propaganda.

I was a misfit before I was even politically aware.

I was Americanized and militarized since I could walk and talk.

So Canadians have always viewed me as an outsider.

It was Vietnam.

You had to pick a side.

I sided with the Air Cav.

Well, I suppose I always had a libertarian streak in me, even when I was on the left, that's how the right converted me, appealed to that libertarian streak better than teachers unions ever did. Back when I was a kid, I thought the left knew best how to fix the problems of those who aren't rich, but then I came to realize that despite the left claiming that the right only care about the rich, the right actually did a better job of helping the poor than the left ever did, and that was the tipping point.

All the groups that left white knights for are better off under the right than under the left, no matter how much the left try and pretend like they are the only choice of the disenfranchised.

I was a terror to the teachers unions.

I used to recruit the other kids to wage wars against the prep school across the field.

We actually drew blood, it was chaos.

I was sent to the principles office a lot.

The only reason I didn't get expelled was because the teachers were abusing us, so I said I would rat them out if they tried to take me down.

Then they left me alone, so I pretty much ran amok.

They used to punch us and kick us. They'd snap and just start beating on us.

My father worked for the Children's Aid.

I told the principle, if I sing like a song bird, people are going to jail, maybe even you.

They left me alone after that, I had carte blanche.

I had no saving grace, sadly. I got booted from two high schools. My rents were pretty strict back then, so they didn't try to fight anything. Even sadder now, my dad has turned really soft in his old age, and my mom has followed suit naturally.

This was grade school, I was just in short pants.

But I knew when I had them over a barrel.

One time I was beating this kid with a belt, and one of the teachers was watching me.

I just gave him the look like "go ahead, call the cops, see what happens"

He just looked the other way.
