it worked fine enough. ive had complaints about the small group of posters that overflow threads with off-topic banter and repetitive arguments, but i accept it as the nature of the internet and scroll through it. still would be nice if everyone agreed to play nice, though. it would benefit the forum as a whole, too

I'll abide by whatever rule, so long as it is consistent, but since Americans are pathologically incapable of not gumming the whole world up with their partisan hack blathering in every single venue, I don't think the rule can be enforced consistently, wait two seconds and every thread is jacked by ZOMG Trump is literally Hitler defending the White Race from Justin Trudeau and Feminism, which, doesn't actually bother NHL hockey talk, NHL hockey talk can easily carry on regardless, but NHL hockey talk will not be abiding by any rules which are not enforced consistently neither.
