And that's the thing. Slavery is in the past, Jim crow in the past. We now have a generation of kids, so called generation Z that has grown up where all the advantages have been bent towards the minorities. I mean it's not like the Democrats have been electorally trashed or anything. Take a look around. That dog doesnt hunt. Those drops you see are media creations they don't translate into votes.ssu wrote:Have to agree with Conservative. Nope. The race card is worn as shit right now. The left here has played the shit out of it for 8 years. Now much blood left in that stone.
You see the most enthusiastic one's are usually young people. And those people change every 20-30 years totally. For them it's a totally new thing, they don't care about the past, some events or debate that happened when they were toddlers simply doesn't exist.

not a reasonable argument in sight.jediuser598 wrote:Say an illegal immigrant came here fleeing the violence of their country. Whether it be South America, or the Middle East, or where ever. I'm not saying this is always the case with illegal immigration, but I'm wondering what you guys would do if this were the case.

Re: DACA
We have foreign recruiters.
I served with a Canadian in my unit. In basic there was some kind from the Dominican Republic. One guy was from Africa, but it turned out he was a dentist so they pulled him out and put him in OTS, I think.

Re: DACA
As an American, with and American viewpoint, I would rather there were summary executions for people caught illegally crossing the border of their own volition, than establish even a whiff of precedent for generational guilt. If some one was wrongly brought here beyond their control but they aren't interested in leaving now, forcibly relocating them because of their parents crime is not right, from any 'point of view.'DBTrek wrote:Once again the entire argument is consistently framed from DACA point-of-view, never from the American point of view.Hanarchy Montanarchy wrote:We're going with wrong+wrong=right then? The Conservative wrote:
DACA is for all intended purposes a forced migration, that is what the kids are forced migrated out of their country to the US. Time to send them and their family back for being cruel to the kids.
Any of you bleeding hearts ever consider why that is?
Ever ask yourself "Why do I always adopt the non-American viewpoint, and argue merits from that side?"
I suspect not.
I would, however, submit that that forced migration to America (via their illegal parents)was wrong for the DACA kids, and returning non-citizens to their homeland is right for the citizens of the host nation and those who took the pains to immigrate legally.
Thus we're actually looking at wrong + right = rightish.
But you guys never worry about the citizens of America, nor the immigrants who undertook the trials required for legal citizenship, do you?
Nope.
They're just bit players.
Non-entities.
You stumbling into the territory of ascribing motivations for my arguments in order to attack them. Godamn lefty moove; you are cleverer than that.
HAIL!

Pfft, no. Their own countries don't do what we do. Some kill on sight. So no, not cruel.C-Mag wrote:The Conservative wrote:NO, they are not American kids. DACA was designed for kids not born in the US, which is not designated Anchor Babies. What part of this do not understand?MilSpecs wrote:
