No, and satellite (line of sight) internet has been getting faster. To the point, they are blowing away fiber.
Hardly.

Unless you’ve got a satellite dedicated exclusively to your house, no.
Do you understand how a satellite works at all?

God damn you are dull.

Sat internet is up to about 15-20 Mbps. Cable in the US goes up to about 150 Mbps. And don't even get me started on data limits with sat service or the insane latency problem.

You are comparing a fucking used Jetta to a Challenger SRT.

We have to stop allowing our public policy to be governed by assholes and supported by people who don't even understand the fucking technology. Just stop.

A laser that could penetrate the atmosphere laser, mounted on a satellite, could not stay powered for long. Also, it would only be firing at a single point, not an area of houses.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

Apparently, a lot better than you do.

Clouds.

And who gets laser time? I want to play my game all the time, does that mean nobody else gets the laser broadband? Fucking hell we are doomed. Democracy might need to be walked back a little bit.

Apparently not if you think data is narrow directional.

15mbps is the same as DSL - outdated and useless. Also only works in nice weather.
15Mbps is fine for 90% of the things we do on average.

We make a mistake to allow companies to abuse the bandwidth we have

We keep getting faster speeds, but the services we purchase don't improve their quality or speed demands.

There is something to the complaints of internet providers. There is a reason I block specific ports at work. It's bandwidth abuse.

I purchase 1Gbps conductivity to bypass most of this issue, but in reality, 15Mbps should be more sufficient for all services without taxing anything.

I know enough that laser communications is possible today.

Valid point. Efficient Programming is becoming a lost art.
