Indeed, don't want to go all out for a rental, if Ryan McDonagh hockey trade, OK, let's talk turkey, but Rick Nash for 3 months is not worth a package.

Kapanen, two firsts, and a couple prospects off the Marlies, probably one of the goalies, is what I would offer for McDonagh.

Rangers are gonna want Dermott, but try to steer them on to the winger instead, much as I like Kappy, we're deep on the wings.

Not saying it puts the Leafs over the top or anything like that, but looking at the stats, it's striking how much better Plekanec is than either Luke Glendening or Dominic Moore, granted, Lou only offered a 5th to Detroit for Glendening, but Detroit was asking a 2nd, and to get Plekanec for a 2nd makes that Glendening price seem crazy.

Franky, in terms of the numbers, Plekanec could arguably be the best 4C in the league, considering that most teams would not be playing these stats as their 4C.

And the games have closed the final goodbyes have been said. Overall not a bad presentation.

I mean, 51.3% Corsi For, 52.3% Fenwick, 99.2 PDO, 52.6% FO, and taking a pounding with 60% dzone starts?

That's actually a major upgrade on Moore, and on most teams, that's a 3C, on some teams, that's a 2C.

Yeah, he only has 24 points, but that's on the Habs who can't score, and he was taking most of the dzone starts as Julien's defensive anchor.

Oi, stop the presses, you know wot? I just looked it up on Cap Friendly and it says the Leafs had two 2nd round picks in 2018.

The Roman Polak pick! From San Jose! So they still have a 2nd to spare, fuckin' Roman Polak bonus pick!

And of course San Jose is 11th right now while the Leafs are 4th, so that San Jose pick is the better pick, 42nd overall.

Polak! The gift that keeps on giving.

Fuck me, they've got San Jose's 3rd round pick too! The Reimer pick!

Patrice Bergeron out with a fractured foot. Doesn't sound like a bad one, but still, could be a gift from the Hockey Gods.

I'm interested to see how the B's play without their Big Horse, not that they are a one man show, but Bergeron is the swizzle that stirs the drink there.
