In that case, Benton County could probably stand going back to fully leaded petrol for a while. Give these people some $0.50 gas a while, it's not like you would be able to tell much difference anyway.

It's almost like they break it up into regions on purpose to drive up prices. If there was just one formulation for the whole nation, prices would be a lot lower nationwide.

Word is they want to ban the regular unleaded and force everybody to buy premium gasoline, even they don't need it, "for the environment".

That's straight up redditor logic and makes no sense. Higher octane fuel burns at a much higher temp than low octane. It's only fuel efficient for high compression or forced induction. You can trick your ECU into recalibrating for it for a little while but it will cause efficiency loss and engine damage eventually.

This battle is coming, bro.

The dems view gas consumption like they view consumption of tobacco and alcohol.

and the West Coast of the United States has steadily grown for more than a century and a half. Chinese immigrants departed en mass to seek fortune in California’s Gold Rush and provided the muscle for the Union Pacific during the construction of the Transcontinental Railway. In recent history however, China’s involvement in California has taken on a new form. The increased involvement of Chinese funding of politicians, a shift in Chinese organized crime in California towards pro-Beijing factions and an increase in open diplomatic accommodation of the Chinese government all raise questions about China’s long term goals in the Golden State.
