Kath is correct - most proles simply don't understand what the "Walmart" economic model results in:

US allows Cheap Chinese Shit ('CCS") to flood the US market...

Proles feel like their dollar is "buying more", but it's really only because the PRC exploits its workers and doesn't give a fuck about the environment.....

Proles work at Walmart making non-livable wages and are in turn, subsidized by the upper and middle class via government social programs...

0.1% reaps huge profits from having to pay proles shit wages....

Proles don't revolt because CSS keeps them contempt for the time being (stupid fucking proles).....

Middle class jobs can't compete with CCS and Middle Classers are "transitioned" to prole-dom...social program increase...

Taxes increase to pay for larger social programs....."transitioning" more middle classes to prole-dom....0.1% can absorb the increase in taxes because they're the ones reaping 99% of the profits from the Walmart economy.....

Proles doomed to prole-dom forever because there's no way for them to raise capitol....

Proles can't revolt because elites have restricted their ability to arm themselves....and elites also control 90% of the food supply.....

Kinda went off the rails at the “middle class can’t compete with cheap Chinese shit” step.

Middle class buys CCS and they aren’t in manufacturing so they don’t have to compete. You jump the rails here and somehow wing up at a shadowy Bilderberg group with a giant grain silo containing 90% of the food. We can see by the conclusion that the math went screwy somewhere.

Hmm...perhaps they don't manufacture because they can't compete? Nah....couldn't be that....

Cheap labour manufacturing is a dead end anyways, even for China, the Chinese are trying to transition out of it, because they know the 3D printer is coming up fast, they're trying to get out of the manual labour business and move into more value added territory already.

Right ... but all the middle class earners who were competing with Chinese manufacturers are long gone. It’s not like they’ve drifted along for 20 years on their middle class savings. So the middle class we have today isn’t competing against Chinese manufacturing.

1) So you don't want to return the "lost" middle class jobs back to America?

2) I think you're incorrect about today's middle class - the 3rd world is now gunning for service jobs.....which they had a competitive advantage over because it doesn't cost 100+K to get a college degree, and their cost of living is much lower....but their quality of life is shittier....so do you want the American middle class to have to drop to the quality of life of a 3rd worlder? You want your kid to live like an Indian or a Chinese prole?

America is actually in the lead when it comes to the future of manufacturing, onshore in the USA is where the high tech manufacturing is moving, particularly to low tax jurisdictions, America is winning the future manufacturing war and the Chinese know it, they're trying to catch up to that, they're not chasing the low margin stuff like they used to, that was always meant to be a transitional stage on the march to becoming an advanced nation like America.

Can't save the middle class by trying to give them government enforced low tech manufacturing jobs, that's basically communism by any other name and it doesn't work, and I wouldn't endanger America's position as the automation manufacturing hub of the world by imposing stupid policies in the name of saving the middle class by trying to hold back the future, because that won't work for the middle class but it will damage other sectors including America's position in automation.
